HabitLoop Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how HabitLoop ("the App") handles your information. HabitLoop is designed to respect your privacy and minimize the amount of personal data we collect.
1. Data we store on your device
HabitLoop stores your habit data locally on your device. This includes:
- Habits and their settings (name, schedule, difficulty, category, etc.)
- Completions and streak information
- Notes you optionally add to your days or habits
- App preferences (such as language, theme, notification settings)
This information is stored only on your device and is not automatically sent to our servers.
2. No account required
You can use HabitLoop without creating an account or providing an email address. We do not use an in-app login system for the core functionality of the App.
3. Backups and sync
If the App provides options to export or back up your data (for example, to a file or cloud storage), those backups are under your control. Please review the privacy terms of any third‑party services you use to store your backups.
4. Notifications
HabitLoop uses your device’s local notification system to remind you about your habits and running timers. Notification schedules and content are generated on your device. We do not operate remote push notification servers for habit reminders.
5. Analytics and diagnostics
The App may use basic, privacy‑friendly analytics or crash reporting tools to understand app stability and usage patterns. These tools are used only to improve the App’s performance and reliability. Where possible, data is aggregated and does not include personally identifiable information.
Depending on your platform (iOS or Android), you may be able to control analytics, diagnostics, and personalized ads in your device system settings.
6. Third‑party services
HabitLoop may integrate with third‑party services such as:
- App stores (for purchases and subscriptions)
- Crash reporting and analytics providers
- System backup services (iCloud, Google Drive, etc., if you enable them)
These services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them to understand how they handle your information.
7. Purchases and subscriptions
If HabitLoop offers in‑app purchases or subscriptions, payments are processed by the App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your full payment information (such as credit card numbers). The store provider may share limited, non‑sensitive data with us, such as purchase status, to unlock premium features.
8. Children’s privacy
HabitLoop is not specifically directed at children under the age where parental consent is required in your region. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information through support channels, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Your rights
Because HabitLoop stores your data primarily on your device, you are in control of it:
- You can view, edit, or delete habits and notes directly within the App.
- You can uninstall the App at any time, which will remove locally stored data from your device.
- If you exported or backed up your data, you may need to manually delete those backups as well.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. In some cases, we may also notify you in the App.
